Richard West, a yeoman, was my ancestor from Ospringe, Kent. He lived to be very old for his era as he was 89 when he died in 1800. It doesn’t happen with every ancestor that I have researched but Richard left a wonderful last Will and testament. What made this Will stand out was the specific details about who his daughters were and who they were married to. Of his 6 daughters Sarah, Mary, Ann, Elizabeth, Hannah and Martha, was another unusual detail, they all had children and outlived their father. Richard also mentioned his 3 sons in his final wishes.
