November 6 1803 at Ospringe Kent

ward Our Family & Me Team

November 6 1803 was a significant day in our family history. Justinian Cooper and Martha Epps intended their wedding on that day at Ospringe, Kent. As it turns out by looking at the Ospringe parish records for that time and something interesting comes to light. On that same day, November 6 1803, the Ospringe records show that Susanna West was buried. Outwardly that seems to be a trivial point as there surely could be more than one event at a church on any given day. What separated this burial was that ‘Susannah West’ was the grandmother of the bride, Martha Epps!

We must consider that it was probably done from ‘convenience’ but historically, it was an interesting family event.
