On September 12 2009, my Dad Clayton Angell passed away. He’d been sick and failing for some time, so his passing wasn’t a sudden shock in the manner that some deaths are. I’m also happy that he didn’t linger in a bed for an extended period of time as is the fate of other people. Clayton simply died with as much dignity as one might ask for.
He left behind an extended family that loved him dearly and beyond a few shortcomings, respected him enormously. The picture of him that I have chosen to accompany todays blog is surely one that would meet with his approval. Especially in his advanced years, few things brought him more joy than either playing the violin on his own, or with somebody. Clayton had a ton of God given abilities and smarts but surely the gift of music was his favourite. May you Rest in Peace Dad.
