On Sept 3 1909, my 2X great grandfather, John Angel passed away at Swan Lake, Manitoba. At age 89, he was quite elderly for his era and had lived quite a remarkable life. A few days later his obituary surfaced in the Swan Lake newspaper and provided a beautiful account. The details that were provided really painted a fine picture of his life as his date of birth was provided and details of his children too! He was the immigrant generation who brought our branch of the Angel surname to Canada. In his time, John also managed to own a farm, which was just a dream back in England.
