Way back in the day, a family might only have owned 1 book. Typically, that book was a copy of the Bible. Beyond the spiritual doctrine of the Bible, large copies of the book held pages that were devoted to births, marriages and deaths within the family. These are GOLDEN pieces of information for the family researcher as they provide the names and dates of family members. The page you see in this blog is the old Angel family Bible owned by my 2X great grandfather, John Angel and his wife, Mary Spaven.
