A terrible, unfortunate accident.

ward Our Family & Me Team

Joseph Petwin Kerr was the younger brother of my 2X great grandmother, Jane Chew (Kerr). One might suppose that since they lived in London, an attraction to go swimming in the River Thames would be a reality. At the time of this event, young Joseph was just a lad, who was ten years old. The document connected in this story is the September 12 1843 death certificate of young Joseph Kerr. The certificate painted a picture where Joseph went swimming and on that day it had dire consequences!

So the poor lad was lost to an unfortunate turn of events and surely deserves to be remembered.
