Shakespeare’s play ‘MacBeth provided the verse to accompany this blog. This blog reflects a connection of my 6X great grandfather, Richard Townley 1682 – 1726, to a place in Lancashire, England called ‘Malkin Tower’. A notation in Richard’s 1726 burial indicated his home was at ‘Malkin Tower’. A century before, we see in the image that Malkin Tower figured into the infamous Pendle Witch scenario.
On February 15 1726 my ancestor Richard Townley was buried at St Bartholomew in Colne Lancashire.

Richard’s connection to Malkin Tower was long after the Witches activity but makes very interesting blogging material!
