It is complete misfortune but for scores of people their concept of ancestors doesn’t go beyond the grandparents who they actually met/knew. Well, the simple fact is that each of us needed an unbroken lineage back in time, generation by generation, for all of us to be here. That’s the simple fact of the matter. The next element that makes understanding research easier is being able to think horizontally or multi generationally. It’s challenging no doubt but a person can think on a level of ‘4 generations’ at a time, which translates to your parents, yourself, your children and grandchildren. It’s an easy concept without looking like a ‘deer in the headlights’!
