Many years ago an old friend told me, “Trevor, there’s two kinds of people in this world, those who are Scottish, and those who wish they were”!
Upon hearing this, I laughed it off as I knew the Scottish descendancy that ‘Stewart Anderson’ was so proud of. Now, many years later, don’t you know when studying my own family, I learned that my paternal ancestors were of the Kennedy clan from Ayrshire, Scotland! Then more discovery showed a link from the surname Graham on mum’s side in the Scottish borders and northern England.
It’s been a humbling enlightenment to find out that both the Kennedy and Graham clans both have an ancestral link to ‘Robert the Bruce’! I am very ‘blessed’ to have learned such incredible details about my ancestral origins, for as you know, ‘there’s two kinds of people in the world’! LOL
