If one thought of their family history being fashioned as a Christmas tree, then the events discovered in research are like ornaments. Ergo, the more ornaments, the more impressive the tree is! So, it’s been in my time researching where the endless quest to find and learn things paid off in a beautiful family tree.
Such a discovery, albeit devastating, is the image for todays blog. The newspaper clip covered a mishap on Grand Lake, New Brunswick, where in 1829, four young people had drowned. In the clip, William Sypher was a distant relative and he perished along with three others. It was a rather ironic twist but William’s father (also William) had also drowned in Grand Lake.
While on topic of family trees, if you would like to see my ‘Angell Hunt’ family tree at Ancestry.ca please just let me know and I’ll see to it that you get an invitation.
