July 11 2026 marks the 120th anniversary of the Norwegian branch of my ancestors arriving in North America! At some unknown time, my great grandfather, Even Evenson of Toten, Oppland, Norway decided that life might be better in the United States. Like so many others, he had connections in Minnesota and set out to make a life in a new country. Norway had been home forever for his ancestors but it was time for a change. A year later in 1907, his wife Inga came with their 5 children.
