Periodically in research, there’s a question that can’t be answered but the existing evidence is circumstantial. Genealogy protocol allows for the ‘preponderance of evidence’ in such circumstances. The example I’ll use today is the 1797 Albright New Brunswick land application. It mentions John Albright senior and junior as well as David Albright. So, is David a son of John senior or a brother?
