My 2X great grandfather was David Sypher, who died in 1901 in Stouffville, Onatrio. He was the grandson of my 2 Loyalist ancestors Lodewick Sypher and John Albright. David was born by Sypher Cove, New Brunswick in 1813 and by 1851 had arrived in Ontario. There are no marriage documents for him, so presumably he ‘took up’ with his cousin, less a generation Mary Barry. At least that’s the appearance of the events. Mary Barry too had a mother named ‘Elizabeth Albright’ and likewise a mother in law named ‘Elizabeth Albright’!! Needless to say, this ‘entanglement’ took some time to unravel.
